Rugged Research offers after-school programming to elementary schools and parks across the front range. Our after-school program brings park rangers, naturalists and environmental educators to your student's school to immerse children in the wonders of nature and science. Each class takes place outside in the school yard or a local park where students are able to have close encounters with nature's wonders!

Colorado has wondrously diverse ecosystems, which our program uses as a giant, learning laboratory to help students fall in love with nature and learn about the impact of their actions on the environment.  Our program extends this learning and helps students  make connections to larger global environmental issues. Rugged Research helps students develop a more mindful awareness of their everyday encounters with the natural world.

Each afterschool session includes fun games, activities and crafts to reach every type of learner. Here at Rugged Research, we believe there's nature every where when outside, even in your own school yard! Our programs are designed to bring outdoor education from the mountains to cities and towns so that every child has access to learning about the wonders of the wild!
