Rugged Research is a fun and exciting nature-based education organization founded by Rocky Mountain Park Rangers designed to spark curiosity and wonder towards the natural world!
We offer summer camps, homeschool programs, early childhood programs and more for children ages 3-12.
Colorado has wondrously diverse ecosystems, which our program uses as a giant, learning laboratory to help students fall in love with nature and learn about the impact of their actions on the environment.
What People Are Saying
"We LOVED Rugged Research!! We both really enjoyed the last 8 weeks! AJ had a great time exploring & learning at a different park each week. We feel so fortunate that he was able to learn from park rangers and their first hand experience & knowledge. He learned so much! Not only was the program run with great professionalism, but Bri & Jesse are so much fun! They were prepaperd each week with artifacts from the area, hands on experiments, even a microscope! They know the area & trails so well that they were able to direct the hikes for maximum educational opportunities. And I loved hiking & exploring each different park on my own while AJ was in "class". Overall, we really enjoyed the whole program. I loved the outdoor education aspect combined with a small group social interaction was perfect!"
